Prescriptions

How Do I Order My Repeat Prescription?

Do not telephone for repeat prescription requests, as we do not offer repeats by telephone.

Please allow 2 working days, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.

At intervals, you will be asked to see the doctor for a medication review. Some drugs will not normally be given by repeat prescription, for safety reasons, and requests may need to be discussed with the doctor.

Certain medicines that were started by the hospital (e.g. warfarin, drugs affecting the immune system) require regular blood test monitoring. The doctor cannot issue prescriptions without up to date results, please speak to a GP if this applies to you.

Electronic Prescription Service

We are now able to send prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy that you choose. To register for this free service, please complete our Electronic Prescription Service form.

Please note, if you are expecting an NHS prescription having attended a private doctor please read this NHS notification.

Please allow 48 working hours before collection (for requests left before 12 noon).
